Birdtalker was started in 2012 by couple Dani and Zack Green, when they began writing songs together, which led to the official debut of the band in 2015. The current lineup includes Brian Seligman on guitars, Jesse Baker on bass, and Chris Wilson on drums.

The Givers opened for Dr. Dog in Asheville at the Orange Peel a handful of years ago. That year I had worn out both of their new records (In Light, and B-Room), and they played the hell out of them live. The sound, performances, company, and energy of the attendees was magic. A very present and delicious experience.
Noise cancelling headphones, new un-listened-to records, a playlist of podcasts, a book, journal, wet wipes, and my water bottle.
In Denver on our 2018 tour, our Airbnb caught a handful of 9mm bullets, missing where Jesse (our bassist) would have been sleeping by a couple feet. Police came and took our report, it was a whole thing. He was the victim of a victimless crime.
Any input through the senses! There is richness in any dissonance or resonance.
I like to listen to ‘Ma’ by Devendra Barnhardt because my body will not not move to it. I also think his gentle vocal delivery is really beautiful and fun.
Paul McCartney or Jacob Collier. I perceive both of them to be transcendently free in the music realm – I would love some of their childlike curiosity and fearlessness to rub off on me.
